I wouldn't be at fault if you wanted to kill yourself! =)

So it was about 6:30 p.m. and I was out and about driving to a meeting that my mom asked me to go to since she was going to be out of town for the weekend. Now at 6:30 p.m. its already dark out. As I'm driving to this meeting there is a couple of hills that I have to drive down. No problem, I do it all the time! So, I'm at the top of the hill coming down. I see a guy walking across the street. No cross walk or a stop for me. There is a car right behind me. Now, picture it...I'm going down a hill picking up speed and so is the car behind me! If I slam on my breaks to stop, not only would I hit the guy walking but the car behind me would also hit me.

The guy is a young guy...maybe around my age. He looks at me and can see that I'm coming down the street! He decided to walk SLOW! Alright, no problem. I'm still in my lane, and there is enough space for me to pass him WITHOUT hitting him. For some reason I had pictured in my mind that this guy would try to jump in front of my car! Next time I should have also pictured the Lotto Numbers cause this Dumb Ass did just that! He stopped and turned around like if he was going to walk back! He threw up his hands like if I was going to hit him! First of all if he really wanted me to hit him, He should have been in front of my car not on the side. Second, another car was right behind me....they would have said that this Dumb Ass turned around and hit my car! I don't know if He was trying to scare me or what, but He should know that I have played GTA! I have no problem hitting anyone that wants to get in front of my car! I was already upset that I had to go to a damn meeting on a Friday night! Hitting him would have only released stress! HaHaHa! =)

Serious WTF?!?!?

So its been awhile since I have been on here. Serious I have had so many WTF moments I have to put them down somewhere!  So here they go:

  • My phone decided to break on me! I could no longer read my text messages. How else would I be able to contact the outside world! WTF?!?
  • I guy walked into my car! Serious. I was at a stop and he didn't see where he was walking....and he walked right into the side of my car. Then he looked at me like it was my fault! Dude I wasn't the one moving!!! WTF?!?
  • A co-worker asked me a question about some work I did back in 2008! I don't remember what I did yesterday! WTF?!?
  • My husband said he was going to get Chinese food. I was going to eat at home. He came back with Mickey D's!! WTF?!?
  • I spent the day at the mall on Saturday. I had every intention to buy something....my sister was the only on that walked out with something! WTF?!?
  • I went bra shopping on Sunday! I went up a cup size. I'm still in denial, but the husband is happy! WTF?!?
  • My friend that is always now in a rush to meet her husband's needs was upset cause I didn't wait for her after work. You haven't waited for me in like over a month. WTF?!?
  • None of my neighbors can park their car all the way inside their garage. WTF! Anyways I'm half asleep when I'm driving in the morning! That should teach them a lesson!
Just venting....Hope I don't come across as a Bitchola....LoL wouldn't want that to happen! ;o)

When it rains, it pours!

So this morning on my way to work there was some lite rain. I was afraid of the flood areas on the street....so I stayed at the speed limits. I wasn't doing my normal 50mph to 60mph on the streets. I wasn't but that doesn't mean that others didn't either. All of the other cars splashing on my car didn't make it any better. So I made it to work in once piece! Yay Me!

On the way home, it was a different story. The rain was coming down hard! As I was walking out of the building, I did hear some thunder! Boy was I scared! The gas level in my car was okay....but tonight is when my husband takes my car to work. I didn't want to get stuck with 'E-Nuff' gas like last time, right Honey? I stopped to put gas and it was pouring at that time. Just my luck I was near the drains.  With the wind blowing as hard as it was....the waterfall from the drains decided to get all over me. Serious give me some shampoo and I would have been taking a shower! So there I go on my way....

One reason why I was only driving 30mph...I seen a small car stuck in the flood waters in my lane.  I had to move over to the next lane. It was so bad everyone was following everyone. At this time there was NO ONE going 50mph or 60mph at all on my way home! The sad part is that my husband had to go out to work again. He works nights on Mondays and Wednesday. I really hope the rain can wait until he gets back home. Don't get me wrong...I like when it rains...but not when it rains really hard so that there are Tornado warnings like yesterday!

Make a U-turn

So it looks like the plans to go to Laughlin have been put on hold as of now. Its good and bad that we are not going...let me explain why:

Bad
  • I have been looking forward to this for so long.
  • It was going to be on Valentines day weekend!
  • Getting to experience it with new people.
  • Long over due vacation.
  • I was going to do some MAJOR shopping at the outlets!
  • I was going to eat red meat this weekend! (good and bad)
Good
  • Money would have to be stretched.
  • Rooms were expensive Valentines weekend
  • I would eat red meat!
  • It would take it time to recover after all the money spent.
  • The weather right now is not so good....might not be good at that time too!
When its all said and done...I really don't feel sad that we are not going anymore. I'm over it...and happy that we are going at a different time. To go during Valentines day just makes us spend more money. Not only that but now more money can be spent on my Valentines day gift! We will be able to save money on the room and that means we would have more money for spending when we go at a later time. Not only that but weather will be really good later. Now its really taking a chance if we would get rain. Getting rain on our trip won't make it so fun!

Sense of Direction!

My parents have always taught me to know exactly where you are at all times. You have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. You pay attention to where you are going and to where you are at. Make a mental note of how to get out of a building. I'm not saying it in a way to panic about things. You just always need to be ready for whatever comes next. I'm not sure if my husband missed that lesson when his parents were teaching it or what.

Last night we were out at Chuck E Cheese in Pico Rivera.  I drove over there and he was going to drive back. From our place to Chuck E Cheese you would make a total of 3 left turns and 2 right turns and that is directly from our drive-way to turn out. He could not make it home if his life depended on it. I just thought....are you really serious? We are in Pico Rivera....where he also has family living...yet he wouldn't be able to get home. I did start to yell discuss about knowing your surroundings and how important is it when you are driving.  If for some reason the car was to run out of gas....the next thing you would need to do is remember where was the last gas station you passed. My husband will actually fall asleep in the car when someone else is driving. I did inform him that it was best to stay awake and to see what exactly is going on around him. I don't know maybe its just me.  I mean...that's just like someone being a passenger asleep and getting into a car accident....your going to get the question...."Did you see anything?".  No sorry I was asleep. WTF?? I have been in one too many accidents during my life and I don't think I'm over reacting.  I just think that part of being an adult, you know where you are at all times.

Is it really worth it!

My friend got into a 'car accident' today on her way into work. She came in all huffy and puffy. She started to go on about this accident that she was in. This guy tried to get into her lane and hit her on her front bumper. She said there was no dents only some of the other car's paint got scratched onto her car. Now she doesn't drive a hot little sports car...nope she drives the mom van. Only thing is...its not a nice little new van either....its an old van! Paint is already coming off everywhere and she has so many dents in it. After she came back down to earth, she called her husband. He wanted her to call the insurance and make the report. I actually seen the 'damage' and told her to just wash her car that it would come off. Now I know that she does have a deductible of $500.  From what I seen, that's not going to cost $500 at all! She was like well no matter what he has to pay even if its just for the deductible.

Now I'm not being mean or anything  but are people really only after money these days? She was so focused on making this guy pay for his mistake that she forgot to realize that her call looked like crap already and so did the inside. Not only that but I've been in her car....she's not the best driver. When she drives us to go out to lunch we have to tell our manager that we are taking an extra 30mins cause of the way she drives....that's just bad. I really don't see how her damage was so serious.  I mean when the tree feel on my car at work...yeah I did make them pay for it...but that was a tree.  I had a broken windshield, roof was dented, side door was dented....yeah i had a right to ask for the money. I'm sure she wouldn't like it if it was the other way around. BTW the guy was driving a new Mercedes and paint got on his bumper too...but he didn't ask for her information cause to him it was no big deal....not one got killed...but its like she wants to kill him by taking his money!

Nothing can come close!

On most Mondays I like to blog about 'My Music Monday'. Today I'm upset. I really can't pick a song to blog about...so this is what I'm upset about!

A friend of mine from work is from Texas! Everything is big in Texas! For such a long time I have been having a craving for pickles. No its not that....its just wanting to eat pickles! I bought a jar from the market and will I guess they did the job.  Since my co-worker found out about my pickle eating drama....she brought me a pickle from Texas. I fell in LOVE! So I figured I could buy them at the store....I was WRONG.  They only sell them in Texas! The pickles are from Best Maid Pickles and trust me they are! The internet shopper that I am...I went online to see how much it would be to ship a jar of pickles to my apartment. A total of $27.00!!! I was so willing to pull out the ATM card and charge it up! My friend said that they only cost $5.00 a jar in Texas at Target! I'm so lucky that she still has family back in Texas...and her sister was more than willing to ship us a jar each! Her sister works at a medical office and was able to ship them cheaper than what the company was going to ship them. I paid a total of $12.00 for a jar and trust me it was well worth it! The pickles were gone in the blink of an eye.  Even the husband started to like the pickles! I have been starting to go through some withdrawals! My co-worker has said that her sister has bought the pickles and will be shipping them this month! Since my withdrawal I have been looking for another brand of pickles to curve that craving. There is nothing that comes close! I hate it! I'm about ready to bust out the ATM card and get some pickles over ASAP!

Lesson Learned about Washing clothes

This weekend the husband and I decided to go out to wash clothes. Normally we wash at the apartment but we can only wash one load at a time. We had so many things to do this weekend, so we figured we should get it all done at once. The plan was to go early in the morning....that didn't happen! We didn't get there until 11:30 ish. There wasn't that many people when we got there...which was good.

We get in and start to figure out what we would be doing. Two ladies are folding their clothes. This girl is going on and on to the other one on how she left her baby's daddy. She said she was able to make it on her own...pay her rent and still have money for her addiction. Really she said that. Oh yeah, her ex man's name was Spider...so yeah that gives you a mental picture of what she looked liked.  Anyways they were finished and they left. Happy they were gone!

Most of the time when Oscar washes, our clothes are washed separated. We used the big washers so we were able to fit more clothes in them. Last time I washed....I remember that there is a load for whites, colors, and darks. Oscar believes in whites...and everything else. As you can tell we had issues there! After awhile I just gave up...finished up my clothes and let him finish up his.

Everything was going good....then they showed up! A husband and wife couple...which actually they looked and acted like brother and sister...eww.. Anyways they show up with their mother. This family was a very religious family. The mother had different pins on her related to her religion. She walked with a cane and had a neck brace on. She voice was just getting to me and she was up in everyone's face! She kept asking if we were using different things there...and we were like OMG if you see my stuff there...then I'm using it! We got the clothes into the dryers and were so happy that we were at least half way done.  I couldn't take hearing the mother and the couple any more...we didn't even fold the clothes. We just put them in the baskets and left.  Some of my clothes didn't even finish drying. I had to finish drying them at home. I was just so happy to get out of there...never again...unless we go so early in the morning that we are the only ones there! Lesson Learned

Have the Times Changed??

So have the times changed? Is it now acceptable for a girl to do things that a guy would normally do?

This week, Oscar has been asked to help choose a male engagement ring. She has already picked out a date...and its not Valentines! Oscar is a good sport about it and offered support as much as he could. When he told me about what he was asked to do, I was so excited! Just the thought of another couple wanting to spend the rest of their lives together is just great! Then the questions started....

Would he say yes? Would he feel less of a man? Why hasn't he asked her to marry him yet? Have they even talked about getting married yet?

So off to work I went the next day and of course I have to consult with the chickas at work. I'm the youngest of our group of 4.  My neighbor that I sit next to, who is the oldest, said that yeah it was fine if she asked him. The girl that sits next to her, who is 10 years older than me, said that it would be better if he did it.  She said she was old fashioned. My other friend is going through her drama, I just didn't want to ask her.

So after hearing all of them...I started to think about it.  I have been raised that the man will ask the father first.  Get the 'Okay' and then ask the girl. That's exactly what Oscar did. I don't think I would have wanted it any other way. Oscar and I always talked about getting married. It was always 'when we're married' not 'if we get married'. If he already knows that I'm ready and willing to marry him then he shouldn't have a problem asking. So why would this guy have a problem asking? Is he comfortable with the way things are that there is no need to ask?

I know every situation is different and I understand that. If you can't see yourself spending the rest of your life with the person that your with...don't waste their time or yours.

'Meat' me half way!

We are lucky to be able to BBQ outside in our apartment complex. So the husband will cook the meat, ribs, or chicken outside.  I on the other hand will be inside cooking up some sides to go with the BBQ. I figure cooking on a BBQ should take no more than 20 mins or so....I'm always wrong for some reason! When my family comes over....its like the BBQ takes hours to be cooked. Oscar and my dad are out side and about a 6 to 12 pack of beer later the BBQ is finished. During this whole time....the sides I made are now cold and the rest of us are starving! Tonight we decided to make a BBQ.  Oscar took the meat out to be cooked and said start cooking in 15 mins. I did wait...and then made the sides.  He was done 5 mins after I had started cooking! I give up...next time there will only be BBQ and no sides. Yes, I said it...no sides...my husband has a two sides with his dinner rule....trust me I snapped that right out of him when we got married.  If I'm going to have to wait 1 to 2 hours for BBQ then no sides will be served!

New Year...New Goals.

As we start 2010, there are some new goals I have in mind for the year.

The first one would be is to try and workout at least once a week.  I know what you all must be thinking...but working out is very hard for me. My day starts at 5 in the morning and I don't get home until 4:30. About time I cook and have dinner its well into 6:30 to 7:00 at night. Then I have to get ready for the next day for work again! I would like to get the Wii Fit.  I think that would help me....if only I don't have to 'run' or 'jump' while playing it.  I live on the second floor of the apartment complex....I don't want stuff falling off the walls downstairs! I'm not going to start a diet or anything like that but I do plan on changing my eating habits.

My second goal is to clean my apartment more often.  I have CTS and it does act up! My therapist said for me not to use a broom or vacuum, I swear!! Most of the cleaning is left to the husband.  I do feel bad for not being able to do much around here but then depression hits. I'm unable to care for myself when CTS acts up. I don't like leaving stuff for him to do but I only make myself worse if I do things.  My CTS is also a reason why I don't blogg everyday or as much.

My thrid goal is to keep the inside of my car clean.  Noticed how I said INSIDE! My car is full of make-up and clothes. I have way to much going on in that car...but hey its a girl car so what do you expect!

I'm sure more goals will be made as the week goes on. I'm seting my goals low so I can meet them.  I know that if I meet these goals, I can make more and work up on them!
